The Essential Skills Course Modules
The aim of the four modules, which are entitled: Get Connected!; Landing Quality Groundfish; Marine Emergency Duties; Charting the Course!, is to strengthen the essential skills that fish harvesters will use on a day-to-day basis. Also, available is the Essential Skills Guide, a handbook that will help fish harvester trainers get the most from the modules.
The course modules have been designed by fish harvesters for fish harvesters, with the active participation of CCPFH's member associations and fish harvesters professional certification boards. The Council would like to extend a big thank you to all fish harvesters, our members, and fish harvester certification boards, who took the time to be a part of the creation of these modules. Without their assistance, we could not have done it.
